Join the Curse of Stigma Campaign – Raise Awareness & Support!

Building on the power of the documentary, The Curse of Stigma Campaign aims to spark critical discussions on epilepsy awareness, human rights, and advocacy, emphasizing the need to dismantle harmful stereotypes and promote healthcare equity.

Funds generated through the campaign will support communities in Africa to advocate for improved epilepsy understanding and better care and treatment. The “Advocacy for Impact Fund,” driven by the International Bureau for Epilepsy (IBE), will fund media campaigns, community dialogues, training workshops, and advocacy efforts focused on ending the epilepsy treatment gap. Help raise funds by promoting the campaign on your social media platforms and by hosting Curse of Stigma “watch parties.”

100% of donated funds go to epilepsy awareness and education projects in Africa. Follow our social media pages for updates!

The International Bureau for Epilepsy is a US-registered charity – US Charter ID 721834-DNP – with tax-exempt status 501(c)(3), EID 59:2606654.

The Whitten Newman Foundation and BAND Foundation have donated all costs associated with the production of the film and the planning of the campaign.

We thank the many organizations who have joined as Campaign Allies. If your organization wants to join, email Alison Kukla at [email protected] by February 10th, International Epilepsy Day.
